Purpose of the position

The Sales and Marketing Manager will lead the commercial strategy for Kandahar Cement Factory, driving market penetration, brand establishment, and revenue growth in the southern region and beyond. The role is pivotal in positioning the factory as the preferred cement supplier for Afghanistan's reconstruction and infrastructure development, directly contributing to the country's economic growth and self-sufficiency in cement production

Key Responsivities

Sales Strategy & Business Development

• Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve volume and revenue targets for the Kandahar Cement Factory.
• Build, manage, and expand a network of dealers, distributors, and retailers across the southern region and other target markets.
• Identify and capture new business opportunities, including infrastructure projects, construction firms, and institutional buyers.
• Negotiate pricing, incentives, and supply agreements with channel partners and key accounts.

Marketing & Brand Management

• Plan and execute marketing campaigns, promotional activities, and trade engagement programs to establish and enhance brand visibility.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent brand messaging across all communication channels.
• Participate in industry events, exhibitions, and trade fairs to build strong brand positioning and customer relationships.

Channel & Customer Relationship Management

• Maintain strong relationships with contractors, builders, project consultants, and government entities.
• Ensure timely delivery and resolve customer concerns effectively to maintain high satisfaction levels.
• Monitor and analyze customer feedback to improve service quality and product offerings.

Market Intelligence & Reporting

• Monitor competitor activities, pricing strategies, and market trends to maintain a competitive edge.
• Prepare and present timely MIS reports on sales performance, market feedback, and customer insights.
• Analyze sales data to inform strategic decisions and recommend corrective actions .

Team Leadership & Coordination

• Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and collective performance goals.
• Coordinate closely with production, logistics, and finance teams to ensure smooth order execution and customer satisfaction.
• Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports for management.

Job Requirements and Experience

• Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of cement products, industry trends, and the competitive landscape in Afghanistan. Familiarity with the southern region's construction market is highly desirable.

• Network: Established professional network across the Afghan construction sector, including dealers, contractors, and government agencies.

• Skills: Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Attributes: Self-motivated, target-driven, and capable of working independently in a dynamic environment.

• Technical: Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and sales reporting systems.
