COUNTRY MANAGER – EXPATRIATE

Global Star Security Services (GSS) is an established private security company operating in Afghanistan, providing professional security solutions to international organisations, United Nations agencies, diplomatic missions, corporate clients and other institutions. We are seeking a highly experienced, professional and results-driven Expatriate Country Manager to join our senior management team in Kabul.

Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the private security industry, military, law enforcement or international security management.

At least 8 years in a senior management or country-level leadership position.

Previous experience working in Afghanistan or a comparable high-risk environment is strongly preferred.

Proven experience managing large-scale security operations and multicultural teams.

Sound understanding of armed and unarmed guarding operations, mobile security, risk management and emergency response.

Experience working with UN agencies, international organisations or diplomatic missions will be a significant advantage.

Good knowledge of ISO 18788, ISO 9001, ICoCA principles and international security industry standards.

Strong leadership, organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.

Excellent command of written and spoken English.

Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Ability and willingness to reside and work in Kabul, Afghanistan.

Coordinate and oversee the day-to-day activities of the company.

Monitor contractual obligations, service delivery, client satisfaction and operational performance.

Maintain professional relationships with international clients, stakeholders and business partners.

Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual requirements, applicable Afghan regulations and international security standards.

Support the implementation and maintenance of ISO standards, ICoCA requirements and company compliance systems.

Identify operational risks, implement corrective measures and promote continuous improvement.

Monitor departmental performance, accountability, discipline and reporting.

Assist with business development, tenders, contract mobilisation and strategic planning.

Prepare management reports and recommendations.
