Product Photographer & Videographer

Afghanu Rugs is seeking a creative, detail-oriented photographer and videographer to showcase our handmade Afghan rugs through compelling visual content. You will photograph rugs for our e-commerce website and create videos and images for social media and advertising, bringing their craftsmanship, texture, and character to life.

Experience using studio lights, softboxes, reflectors, and diffusers to achieve even lighting and accurately capture rug colors and wool texture.

Familiarity with tripods, overhead camera setups, and gimbals or other stabilization tools for sharp photographs and smooth video footage.

A strong portfolio demonstrating product photography, videography, and social media content creation.

Proficiency in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop for color correction, retouching, background cleanup, and batch editing.

Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro for video editing, color grading, audio adjustments, and captions.

Ability to operate DSLR or mirrorless cameras, select appropriate lenses, and confidently use manual exposure, focus, and white balance settings.

Understanding of color accuracy, including the use of gray cards or color reference charts and calibrated monitors.

Strong composition and styling skills, with attention to rug proportions, patterns, borders, and fine details.

Strong file organization, time management, and the ability to manage shoots independently from planning through final delivery.

Experience photographing rugs, textiles, interiors, home décor, or luxury products is a plus.Ability to maintain consistent lighting, backgrounds, framing, and color treatment across a large product catalog, while preserving each rug’s authentic appearance.

Ability to photograph full rugs with accurate proportions and minimal perspective distortion, supported by close-up images of the pile, weave, borders, fringe, and other important details.

Ability to plan and create engaging short-form marketing content that highlights rug craftsmanship, materials, design details, and the weaving process, following brand guidelines and creative briefs.

Produce product photographs that accurately capture rug colors, patterns, and textures.

Film and edit engaging product videos, Reels, and advertising content.

Plan shoots, arrange lighting, and style rugs for product and lifestyle settings.

Edit photos and videos while maintaining a consistent, premium brand aesthetic.

Organize files by product and deliver finished content on schedule.
