Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

A. Graphic Design

1. Design professional posters, banners, brochures, flyers, certificates, invitations, advertisements, social media graphics, and other marketing materials.
2. Develop visual materials for hospital departments, medical services, health awareness campaigns, medical camps, events, conferences, and promotional activities.
3. Prepare designs for digital and print use according to approved specifications.
4. Ensure all designs follow the approved Ariana Medical Complex branding, logo, fonts, layouts, and visual identity.
5. Make revisions to designs based on feedback and instructions from the Marketing Manager.
6. Prepare final artwork in appropriate formats for printing, publication, or digital use.
7. Maintain organized digital archives of design files and source materials.
8. Support the development of creative concepts for marketing campaigns and promotional activities.

B. Social Media and Digital Content Support

1. Prepare graphic content for official Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other approved digital platforms.
2. Assist the Marketing Team in preparing visual content for social media campaigns and health-awareness messages.
3. Resize and adapt designs for different digital platforms and formats.
4. Assist in preparing thumbnails, covers, banners, captions, infographics, and other digital marketing materials.
5. Ensure visual content is professional, accurate, culturally appropriate, and consistent with hospital branding.
6. Submit content for review and approval through the established marketing process before publication.

C. Marketing Assistance

1. Assist the Marketing Manager in implementing approved marketing plans and activities.
2. Support the preparation and implementation of marketing campaigns for hospital departments and services.
3. Assist in preparing brochures, service profiles, promotional packages, patient information materials, and corporate marketing materials.
4. Support marketing activities related to medical camps, health awareness programs, conferences, exhibitions, visiting specialists, and hospital events.
5. Assist in preparing promotional materials and branded items for patients, attendants, visitors, corporate partners, and special events.
6. Support the Marketing Team in collecting and organizing information required for marketing activities.
7. Assist with coordination and follow-up of assigned marketing tasks and activities.
8. Perform assigned administrative and coordination tasks related to marketing operations.

D. Photography and Video Support

1. Assist with photography and video recording of approved hospital events, activities, services, campaigns, and promotional programs.
2. Assist in preparing photographs and video materials for marketing and social media purposes.
3. Perform basic photo editing, image enhancement, cropping, resizing, and formatting.
4. Assist with basic video editing and preparation of short promotional or informational content when required.
5. Ensure that photographs and videos involving patients are used only with appropriate authorization and in accordance with hospital privacy requirements.

E. Production Support

1. Support the Marketing Manager and Marketing Coordinator in the production of marketing materials.
2. Assist in preparing files and materials required for printing, video production, signage, banners, promotional items, and other marketing productions.
3. Coordinate assigned production requirements with relevant team members and service providers.
4. Check the quality and accuracy of completed design materials before final submission.
5. Report design or production-related issues to the Marketing Manager.

F. Coordination and Teamwork

1. Work closely with the Marketing Manager and Marketing Team to complete assigned activities.
2. Coordinate with the Marketing Coordinator on assigned design and production activities.
3. Coordinate with relevant clinical and administrative departments when collecting information or preparing materials.
4. Coordinate with IT when digital files, website materials, storage, or technical support are required.
5. Follow instructions and approved workflows established by the Marketing Manager.
6. Maintain effective communication and professional working relationships with hospital staff.

G. Branding and Quality Control

1. Ensure consistency of all designs with Ariana Medical Complex's approved branding and visual identity.
2. Check spelling, terminology, dates, names, logos, contact information, and other important details before final submission.
3. Ensure designs and marketing materials are professional, clear, readable, and suitable for the intended audience.
4. Make corrections or revisions requested by the Marketing Manager.
5. Maintain high standards of accuracy and attention to detail.

H. Confidentiality, Ethics and Patient Privacy

1. Maintain strict confidentiality of hospital information, patient information, photographs, videos, documents, and marketing materials.
2. Do not publish, share, transfer, or distribute hospital or patient-related materials without authorization.
3. Respect patient privacy, dignity, modesty, and gender sensitivity.
4. Follow Ariana Medical Complex policies and procedures and applicable Ministry of Public Health requirements.
5. Ensure all marketing materials are culturally appropriate and professionally presented.

I. File and Data Management

1. Maintain organized folders for design files, source files, photographs, videos, and completed marketing materials.
2. Ensure important marketing files are properly backed up and transferred to the designated storage system in coordination with IT.
3. Use appropriate file naming, version control, and archiving procedures.
4. Ensure source files remain accessible for authorized future revisions and reuse.

J. Reporting and Other Duties

1. Provide regular updates to the Marketing Manager regarding assigned tasks.
2. Inform the Marketing Manager of delays, technical problems, missing information, or other issues affecting assigned work.
3. Maintain records of completed design and marketing assignments when required.
4. Participate in marketing meetings and activities as requested.
5. Perform other relevant duties assigned by the Marketing Manager or hospital leadership in accordance with the requirements of the position.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Multimedia, Media, Communications, Fine Arts, or another relevant field.

Professional Experience: 3 -5 years of relevant professional experience in graphic design, video production, and video editing. Experience in healthcare, corporate, media, advertising, or digital marketing environments is an advantage.

Required Skills

Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Premiere Pro.

Strong portfolio demonstrating graphic design and video editing capabilities.

Knowledge of photography, videography, lighting, composition, and audio recording.

Strong creativity, visual sense, attention to detail, and ability to produce high-quality work.

Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to work professionally in a hospital environment and respect patient privacy and confidentiality.

Fluency in Dari and/or Pashto; knowledge of English is an advantage.

Performance Expectations

The position holder is expected to maintain high standards of creativity, accuracy, professionalism, confidentiality, timely delivery, and consistency with the visual identity and communication standards of Ariana Medical Complex.
