During this United Nations volunteer program, volunteers are expected to perform the tasks mentioned in the Terms of Reference (TOR). They can be assigned research and analysis to collect data and draft information on global agricultural and food security practices. Some volunteers may be assisting the project teams with daily operations. The program may require report writing and documentation where volunteers will help to draft and format official reports and policy briefs. Furthermore, volunteers may be required to plan and organize workshops, international conferences, and flagship youth forums hosted at the Rome headquarter.
Eligibility: Criteria for FAO Volunteer Program in Italy 2026: Applicants must have completed their secondary school education. Candidates should have working knowledge of minimum one FAO language including Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian or Spanish). Applicants must be nationals of FAO Members. Candidates should be 18 years or older. Applicants should have good communication skills. Candidates with family members (mother, father, sister, brother, daughter, or son) employed by FAO cannot apply for this program.
