Call for applications for the Community Solutions Program 2027 in the USA. The Community Solutions Program is an international exchange program in the USA. It helps community leaders improve their leadership and management skills. Participants receive professional training, mentorship, and hands-on experience with U.S. organizations. They also build international networks and learn new ways to support economic growth and community development in their home countries.
The IREX fellowship 2027 in USA is based on initiatives that could help the communities to lift themselves up. CSP fellowship ensures that the fellows return home with the capabilities to proceed with a community action program. This year the Community Solutions Program is celebrating a decade of global impact. Since its launch, the Community Solutions Program has helped community leaders make a positive impact in their home countries. Through this funded international exchange program in the USA, fellows gain valuable skills and experience. They use this knowledge to lead community projects, support local economic growth, and improve people’s lives.
Approximately 3–4 months in the USA, including a 12-week professional practicum, followed by a 9-month SCALE-Up Project in the home country.
The J-1 visa support will be provided to the participants.
The fellowship covers the round-trip travel costs of the participants from their home city to the U.S.
The participants will be given a monthly allowance for housing, meals, and other living expenses.
The participant’s accident and sickness insurance will be covered.
The applicant must be between 27-39 years of age.
The applicant must be a citizen of one of the countries mentioned above.
The applicants must be living and working in their home countries.
If the applicant is with refugee status and still working on behalf of his/her home community, he/she will be given preference.
The applicants must have two years of experience in community development either full-time or part-time employees or volunteers.
The applicant must not be a current student or must not be currently participating in any research project in the U.S.
The applicant must be proficient in English. The applicant will be asked to provide IELTS or TOEFL results. (if selected as a semifinalist)
The applicant must be able to travel to the U.S. for 3-4 months for exchange in 2027.
The applicant must not be a U.S. citizen or a permanent resident of the U.S. or have applied for U.S. citizenship.
The applicant must not be a current employee at IREX or have any immediate family member as an IREX employee.
The applicants must be committed to returning to their home countries for at least two years after completing the program.
Africa: Botswana, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Ghana, Guinea, Kenya, Liberia, Mozambique, Namibia, Rwanda, Uganda.
East Asia and the Pacific: Cambodia, Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mongolia, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Solomon Islands, Thailand, Tonga, Vanuatu, Vietnam
Europe: Albania, Belarus, Croatia, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Moldova, North Macedonia, Romania, Slovakia, Ukraine.
Middle East and North Africa: Algeria, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Oman, Tunisia.
South and Central Asia: Bangladesh, Bhutan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan.
Western Hemisphere: Bolivia, Colombia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Guyana, Jamaica, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, Venezuela.
The candidates have to apply online through the IREX online application system.

All applications must be submitted online; any applications sent by mail, fax, or email to IREX will not be accepted.
