Overview

Deadline: November 17, 2026

Applications are open for the British Council Green & Digital Employability and Enterprise Programme 2027. GDEEp is the British Council’s pilot workforce development programme that will support a minimum of 50 students from a participating South African TVET college and higher education institution.

The programme is designed to strengthen students’ readiness to participate in employment and entrepreneurship pathways at the intersection of the green and digital economies, build sustainable partnerships with industry and strengthen workforce readiness in participating institutions. Rather than treating green and digital as separate sectors, GDEEP will focus on their convergence by exploring how digital tools and technology-enabled services can support areas such as climate action, sustainability, resource efficiency, circular economy solutions, clean energy, green enterprise and inclusive economic participation.
