Criteria for Stigler Center Journalists in Residence Program 2027 in USA

The program is open to journalists working in all forms of media. Freelancers and editors are eligible to apply. Applicants should be proficient in English. Candidates should have at least some years of experience. Applicants having interest in understanding more sbout political economy are encouraged to apply.

Participants will receive airfare, SEVIS and visa application fees reimbursement. The program offers a stipend of $14,000 to cover living expenses. Residents will get a chance to auditing classes at one of the top global business schools. Participants will attend seminars, computer and workshops at Chicago Booth and across the university. Journalists will get a chance to write for the ProMarket publication. The program offers collaboration and networking opportunities with fellow participants. Health insurance through UChicago’s student/visitor plan will be included. The program offers housing guidance and resources to find accommodations in Chicago. All successful candidates will receive a certificate of participation.
