The two-year MERGED program is designed to provide you with a single entry-point access to top-level, research-based teaching across three European nations:

  • Year 1 (University of Copenhagen, Denmark): All students study together to obtain interdisciplinary knowledge and skills. This includes supervised data collection in the field and foundational preparation for your second-year specialization.
  • Year 2 (Milan or Warsaw): You will move to a second country based on your binding specialization choice made at the time of application. You can specialize in Agricultural Development at the University of Milan (Italy) or Sustainable Environmental Development at the University of Warsaw (Poland).

Financial Information & Alternative Funding

Important Notice: There are no Erasmus Mundus scholarships available for the MERGED program in the 2027 student intake. The pricing of participation costs reflects the individual tuition fee policies of the participating institutions.

Admitted students may utilize the following alternative funding opportunities:

  • Erasmus Mobility Grant: You may apply for this grant during your first semester at the University of Copenhagen. If awarded, it provides 450 to 500 EUR per month for 10–12 months during your second year of study. (It cannot be granted for the first year).
  • University of Warsaw Scholarships: Including the Rector’s Scholarship, Social Scholarships, and scholarships for people with disabilities.
  • NAWA Scholarships: The National Academic Exchange Agency offers programs for non-Polish students, such as the Stefan Banach Scholarship Program.
