ABC Steel Company is one of Afghanistan’s most prominent industrial companies. 100% Afghan-owned and operated, ABC Steel established its fully licensed steel smelting factory in 2015, located at Kabul’s Pol-e-Charkhi Industrial Park. The company was founded to meet the demands of the development of Afghanistan’s steel industry and supply the high number of construction projects ongoing in the collective effort of rebuilding the country and promoting economic growth. ABC Steel has contributed to significant job creation for local communities, with over 1000 factory and administration personnel employed and rapidly growing in size. Supervise Manufacturing Team: Lead and manage a team of manufacturing personnel to achieve production targets. Ensure adherence to production schedules and deadlines. Safety and Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce safety protocols related to machinery and equipment. Maintain a high standard of quality control and ensure products meet specifications. Training and Development: Conduct training sessions for team members on safety, quality, and operational procedures. This position offers a three-month probationary period, with the potential for yearly extensions based on performance. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Manufacturing Unit Supervisor to join our team in Kabul, Afghanistan. The successful candidate will oversee and lead a team within our manufacturing unit, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality in all operations.
Lead and manage a team of manufacturing personnel to achieve production targets.
Ensure adherence to production schedules and deadlines.
Implement and enforce safety protocols related to machinery and equipment.
Maintain a high standard of quality control and ensure products meet specifications.
Conduct training sessions for team members on safety, quality, and operational procedures.
Facilitate continuous learning and development within the team.
Develop proficiency in Urdu and maintain basic communication skills in English.
Foster effective communication within the team and other departments.
Possess knowledge of industrial machinery and equipment.
Ensure proper maintenance and functionality of all manufacturing equipment.
Keep detailed records of production activities, safety measures, and quality control.
Generate regular reports for management review.
Demonstrate the ability to learn and adapt quickly to new challenges.
Implement efficient solutions to manufacturing issues.
